Since 1992, Bergzicht Training & Development, an accredited skills development non-profit organization, has been dedicated to empowering unemployed individuals in the disadvantaged communities of Stellenbosch and the Winelands region. Specializing in market-relevant training, personal and professional development, Bergzicht leads the way in combating unemployment through comprehensive programs in Hospitality, Health and Frail Care, and Childcare, coupled with extensive support for job placements and the retention of employment.
Bergzicht’s training model extends far beyond vocational training alone, encompassing an extensive development programme that cultivates essential life skills critical for success in the workplace. This holistic approach provides psycho-social support, mentoring, and ongoing job placement assistance. The Student Development Programme is regarded as a cornerstone initiative, with support and mentorship being offered throughout the training period and for 12 months post-graduation.
